GIS Mapping

Description

Allows incorporation of outside data into geographic maps for display on the web or in mapping software.

Uses and Potential Benefits

GIS maps can present demographic or other data on a specific community, note where money is being allocated and where it is not, and assist organizations in presenting or analyzing information.  Example: a community foundation might provide maps of its community detailed with data on community issues, e.g. educational attainment, pollution, housing.
